Bringing the icy Grunge/Alternative vibes from the frozen peaks of Himalayas, "Smoke Kiss" Is a four Piece alternative Rock Band From Nepal, South Asia. As One Could be so clenched by their dark melodies and harmonies, ravaging guitar riffs and their tranquilizing drum fills, their debut album "Hooked" is aptly named.

Though formed in 2020, the bands musical journey started back in 2019 when a vision started to take shape in band's singer-songwriter/Guitarist Sajeeb Shrestha to the idea of which drummer Raajib Maharjan quickly joined. Tyxon Maharjan who was already engaged in 2 other underground bands at the time, dropped both and joined in as bassist, and in 2020 Newjon Maharjan was added as lead guitar filling in the final piece to the band

It started with a mutual Sentiment to record an album that isn't just a bunch of rock songs but an cohesive experience that people in the rock community has been longing for decades.

"We wanted to elicit an experience that brought back the quintessence of albums like Alice in chain's Dirt and Audioslave's Self titled album "Audioslave".

You can listen to one song and discern their influences but don't stop there, it gets deeper and heavier whilst progressing through the album. The band decided to stay in a stage hiatus until releasing the songs in an effort to remain focused on the recording side.

Their debut single entitled " Its time" released on 15th January 2021. The melodic slow rock anthem is said to evoke a similar feeling to the 90s grunge music, also fusing in a hint of modern sounds and tastes. The willingness to experiment with their sound and their divergent thinking regarding every musical message they give is the main trait that sets them apart from all the rock bands out there. The ability to speak and connect to such a mass audience through their music and let them relate to it is one of their many specialties. Smoke kiss are one of those exceptional bands that despite being immersed in one main genre, also blends in a bit of others, speaking to uncommon audience at the same time.
